The tiny African kingdom of Swaziland has the highest HIV infection rate per capita in the world. Reported estimates vary according to age group and gender. More than one in four adults (26%) ages 15 – 49 are infected with HIV/AIDS. The age group and gender that has the highest HIV prevelency rate of (49%) are women ages 25 – 29.

The smallest country in the Southern Hemisphere, Swaziland is a landlocked, independent kingdom about the size of New Jersey. It’s bordered on three sides by the Republic of South Africa, with a 70 mile eastern border with Mozambique, and is about 40 miles from the Indian Ocean. The climate varies from tropical to near temperate.
